transcribing Nature in the form of furniture does not only consist in contemplating the fauna, flora or mineral in order to reproduce them. It is about capturing the essence of their harmony. If the line is the main component, it is often the light that reveals it. Whether coming from inside or outside, whether reflected or diffused, the light imposes itself, as soft as it is powerful. This fascination, born from the artist\u2019s love for semi-precious stones, rock crystal in particular, led him to integrate new dimensions into his works.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Guillaume Pi\u00e9chaud<\/strong>\u00a0is a French sculptor and designer.<\/p>\n

Born in 1968, he graduated from the \u00c9cole Boulle (an historical reference amid\u00a0art and design schools in Europe) in 1988,\u00a0where he attended\u00a0engraving techniques of precious metal.\u00a0He has worked with famous jewelry\u00a0designers\u00a0for eight years, creating collections in collaboration with the most important craftsmen and luxury\u00a0brands.<\/p>\n

In parallel with his engraving work, Guillaume Pi\u00e9chaud has also pursued\u00a0a proper\u00a0artistic career. Indeed, at the age of 25 he chose to\u00a0reconvert into\u00a0design,\u00a0and developed progressively a practice that can be placed at the border between sculpture and design, informed by his passion for metalwork.<\/p>\n

Since\u00a02009 he has\u00a0been producing\u00a0several pieces of furniture,\u00a0genuine\u00a0sculptures made of stainless steel, in collaboration with the LOFT Gallery.
