One of his iconic pieces, la Conversation (Conversation), draws the continuous line that invites us to meet.<\/p>\n

Hybrid between the \u00ab Confident \u00bb, a sort of two-seater sofa with an \u00ab S \u00bb sha- ped back invented under the Second Empire, and the \u00ab Bureau Max Ingrand \u00bb, designed in 1966 by Ben Swildens for Peugeot\u2019s headquarters in Paris, these Conversations, from the simplest to the most monumental, come in various materials.<\/p>\n

They symbolize the artist\u2019s fascination with dialogue, not only curves designed face to face, but also materials. Stone, steel, and wood, brass or leather go together in sublime pieces, real furniture-jewelry reviving his talent as a goldsmith.<\/p>\n

Guillaume Pi\u00e9chaud<\/strong> is a French sculptor and designer.<\/p>\n

Born in 1968, he graduated from the \u00c9cole Boulle (an historical reference amid\u00a0art and design schools in Europe) in 1988,\u00a0where he attended\u00a0engraving techniques of precious metal.\u00a0He has worked with famous jewelry\u00a0designers\u00a0for eight years, creating collections in collaboration with the most important craftsmen and luxury\u00a0brands.<\/p>\n

In parallel with his engraving work, Guillaume Pi\u00e9chaud has also pursued\u00a0a proper\u00a0artistic career. Indeed, at the age of 25 he chose to\u00a0reconvert into\u00a0design,\u00a0and developed progressively a practice that can be placed at the border between sculpture and design, informed by his passion for metalwork.<\/p>\n

Since\u00a02009 he has\u00a0been producing\u00a0several pieces of furniture,\u00a0genuine\u00a0sculptures made of stainless steel, in collaboration with the LOFT Gallery.
