They represent not only two generations but also two cultures, two universes and two singular talents\u2026<br \/>\nFaced with the works of these two artists who let their incredible imagination escape to the canvas, we are projected into the most beautiful of worlds.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Philippe Druillet<\/strong> was born in 1944 in Toulouse. In 1970, he joined in the magazine\u00a0<i>Pilote<\/i>\u00a0with his new episodes of Lone Sloane with a style more blazing, in which Druillet innovated an audacious page layout and introduced the computer graphics in decors. In 1975, he associated with Moebius, Jean-Pierre Dinnet and Bernard Farkas creating the\u00a0<i>Les Humano\u00efdes Associ\u00e9s<\/i>, a French publishing house specializing in comics,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>and the magazine\u00a0<i>M\u00e9tal Hurlant<\/i>. In 1975, torn by the death of his wife Nicole, Druillet created a violent and desperate story :<i>\u00a0La Nuit (The Night)\u00a0<\/i>for\u00a0<i>Rock and Folk<\/i>. In 1980, he produced the\u00a0<i>Salammb\u00f4<\/i>, a comic-book trilogy based upon Flaubert\u2019s proto-heroic fantasy novel\u00a0<i>Salammb\u00f4<\/i>. In his albums, the drawers explored the different registers and always the innovators. More information about Philippe Druillet, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.galerieloft.com\/en\/artists\/philippe-druillet\/\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><em><strong>Check here !<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"column\">\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Li Chaoxiong<\/strong>, alias\u00a0<em>ARX LEE<\/em>, is a Chinese artist who was born in 1978 in Zhongshan, Canton.\u00a0In the end of 1990s, he begun to present his early works in\u00a0group exhibitions in Canton, Beijing and Japan (5th International\u00a0Exhibition of the Japan Art Academy in 1997). Hence, he\u00a0started studying at Guangzhou Fine Art School and\u00a0graduated in 2002.\u00a0He is as well the author of two poetic and introspective graphic novels:\u00a0<em>Bilibi<\/em>\u00a0in early 2000s and\u00a0<em>Buda-Pest<\/em> in 2010, the last one published in three languages and the theme of an exhibition at the Galerie Loft, Paris. Since his childhood, the artist is immersed in the world of superheroes, cartoons and illustration. Developing his style in different artistic disciplines, such as painting, illustration, design, sculpture and photography, Li has gradually found his own language and mastered the codes of literary narration and of plastic and digital composition.
