His works are regularly exhibited in numerous museums and galleries across China. He lives and works in Beijing.

In his work, the most contemporary forms of Western abstract art merge harmoniously with the spirit of Chinese tradition. Traditional ink here gives way to oil painting, which explores with depth the nuances of a single color. Yang Liming also nourishes his practice through daily tai chi, drawing clear inspiration from ancient concepts of Chinese philosophy, such as the Taoist notion of emptiness and the vital energy of qi.

In the almost calligraphic manner, this energy seems to emanate from the artist’s brushstrokes, both powerful and gentle, dynamic and precise. Yang’s meditation leaves on the canvas the imprint of living landscapes.

In his work, the most contemporary forms of Western abstract art merge harmoniously with the spirit of Chinese tradition.
