{"id":3607,"date":"2015-06-05T14:20:52","date_gmt":"2015-06-05T14:20:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.galerieloft.com\/exhibition\/exposition-de-sculptures-monumentales-philippe-hiquily-30-mars-au-28-avril-2012-2\/"},"modified":"2026-03-19T15:08:20","modified_gmt":"2026-03-19T15:08:20","slug":"exposition-de-sculptures-monumentales-philippe-hiquily-30-mars-au-28-avril-2012","status":"publish","type":"exhibition","link":"https:\/\/preprod.galerieloft.com\/en\/exhibitions\/exposition-de-sculptures-monumentales-philippe-hiquily-30-mars-au-28-avril-2012\/","title":{"rendered":"EXPOSITION DE SCULPTURES MONUMENTALES"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 4\">\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>In order to properly celebrate this great artist, Galerie Loft is organizing an exhibition of monumental sculptures on the forecourts of the two emblematic churches of the district. <em>La<\/em> <em>Marathonienne<\/em> and <em>L&#8217;\u00c9picurienne<\/em> will face off from a height of five meters in a sensual dialogue on the Place Saint-Germain-Des-Pr\u00e8s, while the Place Saint-Sulpice will host the poetic and airy dance of the 3.5-meter-high weathervanes <em>Marbella Shanghai<\/em><\/p>\n<p>While the weathervanes Marbella Shanghai and La Marathonienne have already been presented in monumental formats\u2014the former in Marbella (Spain) in 1963 and later in Shanghai (China) in 2010, and the latter in Vitry-sur-Seine (France) since 1988\u2014this marks a first for L&#8217;\u00c9picurienne.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 4\">\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p><em>Revealing their curves in a charming and subtly erotic-face off, the two sculptures offer viewers a captivating spectacle. Clad only in their own allure without modesty or voyeurism, in the manner so characteristic of Philippe Hiquily, they present themselves to passersby, overlooking Saint-Germain-des-Pr\u00e8s and asserting both the genius and technical mastery of their creator.
