Very early in its development, Galerie Loft unveils a highly futuristic and imaginative project. This piece will be presented at the end of 2017.

Uterus is a fixed installation of two seats connected to a low table by arms, incorporating lighting fixtures.

Designed based on the graphic representation of a human uterus, it stages the primal contact, the meeting of two DNAs.

This contact between a visitor and a host, physically symbolized by the handshake, does not give rise to a new individual but rather to the emergence of a new collaboration.
The form and ergonomics of the uterus create a semi-open, reassuring, and defined space.

Because it is fixed, the uterus takes proxemics into account. The installation imposes a minimum distance, referred to as the social sphere, and therefore guarantees respect for personal and intimate space. The seats are slightly inclined to avoid a frontal seating position. The table facilitates interaction; its mirror-polished stainless steel top inevitably reflects the image of people and objects entering this neutral space.

Beyond this morphological mimicry, the Fallopian tubes conceal floor-mounted lighting. This strip produces a soft, diffused light source. It emphasizes the curves, lightens the overall effect, and draws the visitor’s attention.

Due to its function as a waiting area, Uterus is particularly well-suited to reception spaces.
