To photographers-performers from the Beijing East Village and Chinese sculptors whose iconic figures swept across the Western art world, such as the Made in China dinosaur by Sui Jianguo…
To the monumental 12-meter weathervanes by Philippe Hiquily that enriched the urban landscape of Shanghai during the 2010 World Expo…
To major international sculptors who went on to install monumental works in the Moroccan desert.
Painters, sculptors, photographers, urban artists, designers, video artists — a wide-ranging panorama of creatives from every corner of the globe, most of them at the beginning of their careers when they first entered Galerie LOFT.

Today, Galerie LOFT embraces a new challenge.
Opening a new space, exploring new horizons, while preserving its identity and its commitment to supporting emerging artists, here we are… at the crossroads.
As always, true change happens alongside those who bring the gallery to life. Artists and gallerists, art market professionals and collectors, photographers, journalists, family and friends, colleagues and art lovers — you are all warmly invited to join us in celebrating this new stage in the history of Galerie LOFT at the inauguration of our new exhibition space at 4 rue des beaux-arts.
On this occasion, two Iranian artists, both in their thirties, will be presented. Their works perfectly illustrate the transformations of an era, a society, and a country undergoing profound economic, social, and historical change. Rich in a millennia-old history and a richly blended culture, their works stand, in turn, at a crossroads. Balancing gentle nostalgia and intense modernity, they felt like a natural choice to express our desire to discover and to share — and above all, to invite dialogue and encounter.

Mehdi Mirbagheri
Mehdi Mirbagheri, a contemporary Iranian artist, was born in 1980, Tehran. At the beginning of his creation, he turned to the new mediums and mixed the various techniques up (photo, graphics, painting and collage) for developing his own visual identity. He tried the different artistic experiences, like video installation and performance. Since 2008, he turned to Pop Art and created the works which inherited the pictorial codes of Lichtenstein who mixed up the Persian and the Arabic calligraphy.
